file chapter 11
Sergeant Vince Carter, USMC asked:

It appears the tide is turning on the Big Three grovelers and their minions in the UAW. 80 plus percent of people surveyed said they would still consider a car from a company in Chapter 11, many, many smart economists have come forth and said Chapter 11 is a viable option and in fact the best option for the bloated Big Three.

So, will those grovelers do the right thing, quit begging and file Chapter 11?

Chapter 11 Bankruptcy does not mean anyone is going out of buisness, it means that they have to restructure their debt.

Sorry, but the reason is that a federal judge would step in and tell the UAW that they are asking for too much.

Did you know that any every big 3 car, people pay an additional $3000 when purchasing a car to pay for retirement benefits…
No company can afford that and stay in the black.

The Sheriff is a-near! asked:

Sure, we lost a few airlines, but its not like there aren’t any carriers (big or small) left in the USA. Why can’t Detroit do the same? Is there anyone who really thinks that any of the Big 3 will simply close their doors?
OK, some have brought up the warranty issue. If they stopped covering warranties then I agree with you that Ch. 11 would sink them. The question I have for you (which has already been answered by several experts) is which is costing Detroit far more; the UAW or making good on warranties?

Lets face it, reorganization is what they should have done years ago instead of perpetuating old, out dated ideas.
Did the executives just want to charge you for bonuses to reward their FAILURES?
