Since I filed bankruptcy, will It be best for me to file short form as I did before or is it better for me to have a tax preperation company file long form? I’m not sure if filing long form is beneficial. We have one child as a dependant.

aakhouston asked: My husband and I filed for bankruptcy. We were scheduled to get our stimulus payment on May 2nd, before they announced that they were moving up the payments. But we have not gotten it yet and I check on the irs website and they have no information on it. Will our bankruptcy take our payment?

Robert J asked: i know a student loan is rarely discharged in bankruptcy, unless it would cause an undo hardship to repay or if the student loan went into default 7 years prior to filing bankruptcy. Both of these situations apply to me.
